Rabbi Rafi Goodwin and his wife Chaya Brocha (nee Sufrin) have been appointed as the new Shluchim to Barkingside, Essex, UK.
The couple, who is moving to Essex from Hendon, London, will serve as the Directors of Services and Young Couples.
The new Shluchim will be directing programs for young married couples, strengthening Minyanim, learning classes for young people and developing new relationships in the area.
They will join colleagues Rabbi Moshe and Brocha Muller and Rabbi Odom and Henny Brandman under head Shluchim Rabbi Aryeh and Devorah Sufrin of Chabad Lubavitch North East London and Essex.
Their new roles are part of an exciting and ambitious 5 year plan for the whole of Essex which includes a new building project in Gants Hill, Ilford, Essex (currently underway) and seeking to establish new Chabad centres in Epping, Westcliff and other identified areas within Essex.
Congratulations , next Chabad centre in Epping or Barkingside? THE NEXT CHIEF RABBI

I full support the opening on a Chabad in Epping – we often feel a little left out. Are there any plans for more jewish schools in the area?
Mazel Tov! Mazel Tov!

Although I only got to know you for a little while, I was already witness to all the positive energy which simmered beneath the quiet personality which you portrayed. Wishing you and your wife much luck and blessing in your forthcoming journey, and success in achieving all the goals which you set for yourselves.
