The Halperin arrived in Sofia as we week ago with their three children.
They will be assisting the existing Shluchim Rabbi Yossi and Tami Solomon, who co-directed the Chabad House for last 8 years.
Rabbi Halperin is the son of Lubavitch activist Yaakov Halperin of Jerusalem. Mrs. Halperin is from the Pinkowitz family in the Israeli city of Cholon.
Bulgaria is home to many Israeli businessmen and traders.
