Rabbi Mendel and Raizel Rosenblum (nee Weinstein), and their daughter Miriam, are moving out on Shlichus to Aventura in Florida, home to a vibrant Jewish population, some hailing from distant places such as South America, Brazil, France, and Israel.
Chabad of Aventura was founded almost 50 years ago by Rabbi Casriel and Ziporah Brusowankin. Shluchim Rabbi Laivi and Chani Forta have been building on the vision set forth by the Brusowankins for the last 25 years.
The Rosenblums will be joining the vibrant and growing Aventura Chabad house community, overseeing adult education and children’s programs. They will be working together with Rabbi and Mrs. Forta.
Rabbi Rosenblum grew up on Shlichus in Caracas, Venezuela, and his Shlichus will also include outreach amongst the large Spanish-speaking local Jewish community in Aventura. His wife Raizel also grew up on Shlichus in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
“After a few visits by the Rosenblums to Aventura, we are overjoyed that they have chosen to move out here and dedicate themselves to our community,” said Rabbi Forta. “Be’ezras hashem, we have a lot in the works, and the new Shluchim are crucial to the continued growth and success we have been experiencing.”
Rabbi Rosenblum said: “Having both grown up on Shlichus, it was always our dream to dedicate ourselves to the Rebbe’s mission and vision and to join the Rebbe’s army of Shluchim. We are overjoyed to be making this dream a reality, and are very excited to be working closely with Rabbi Laivi and Mrs. Chani Forta in servicing the Aventura community.”
