It’s simple and brilliant, traditional and brand-new—all at once.
For many in the Crown Heights neighborhood, a Shabbos or yom tov meal would hardly be complete without a homemade beverage: grape juice and seltzer, mixed together. The juice adds just enough sweetness and perfectly balances the seltzer’s refreshing bubbles for a crisp, slightly sweet favorite.
“It has been a staple in Jewish homes for as long as anyone can remember,” says Moshe Frank, a partner in Leviim Art Gallery in Crown Heights.
But when he realized that the drink he grew up on did not exist for the kosher consumer, he began petitioning beverage makers to recreate his childhood favorite to no avail.
Frank decided to take the plunge into the beverage-canning field. He partnered with Tzvi Silberstein, owner of an Italian ices shop on Lincoln Place in Crown Heights.
Armed with a vision—and a two-ingredient recipe exquisite in its simplicity—Frank and Silberstein set out to create their new beverage.
Enter Spritzly: a fruit-infused seltzer drink. And it’s just that: there are only two ingredients on the back of the can – freshly squeezed grape and seltzer.
“Spritzly prides itself on its perfect simplicity, and you’ll never find any sort of artificial flavorings or preservatives in any Spritzly drinks,” Frank says.
He said Spritzly has been on the market for five weeks and has exploded in popularity. It has been sold in grocery stores in Crown Heights, Boro Park, Williamsburg, and Monsey.
With over 500,000 cans sold, the partners face supply chain issues to keep the drink available to the consumer. It is certified kosher by Tarnopol Kashrus and is Kosher L’Pesach as well.
“The drink that has been everyone’s “family recipe” can be enjoyed in dozens of different establishments, from supermarkets to restaurants and cafes,” Frank says.
Its popularity has spread to social media, where fans share Spritzly-enhanced cocktails, customer testimonials, and behind-the-scenes looks at the canning process. For more information, visit SpritzlyDrink.com and Instagram.com/SpritzlyDrink

Moshe is a rockstar!
Always sold in stores when I want to restock
makes me wonder tho – why buy something that’s easy to make the self? seltzer and grape juice on the table. voila. I guess we try to simplify things and this does that too… as the result of this product one will have some extra moments – to do additional mitzvos. and moshiach will come faster. so not only did they make a cute product, they helped bring the geula faster. gevaldik.
Great idea. Great marketing. Good for you.
Let it be extremely successful, bring even more products to the market.
