New Sefer of Responsa on Contemporary Halachic Issues

Mi’Lishkas HaDorom is a collection of responsa written over the past 25 years by Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, Av Beis Din of the Sydney Beis Din.

While technically a Rov in Sydney, Rabbi Ulman’s advice and Psokim are sought worldwide by Jews of all walks of life and especially by Shluchim and community Rabbis. Some of the responsa in this Sefer were written to other Botei Din that sought Rabbi Ulman’s opinion on exceedingly complicated cases. This sefer addresses issues that must be given in writing due to the long term effects they can have on the personal status of the person in question and all his descendants.

The sefer contains 71 teshuvos, including the following topics:

Can DNA be used as a proof of one’s Jewish Status
Egg donors, surrogacy and fertility treatments in Halacha
Teshuvos on cases of mamzerus
Yuchsin shaalos involving Kohanim
Complex shaalos concerning writing and delivering gittin
Can one converted as a child object many years later?
If no Mohel could fly due to covid, can a non-Jewish doctor perform the bris on the eighth day and then have a Jew do the Hatofas Dam bris later.

Additionally, it includes a protocol for yuchsin and fertility treatments intended for Rabbonim and Shluchim in dealing with these issues that inevitably arise in a community / Chabad House.
