Private-sector workers will be required to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and teens and adults will need two vaccine doses to dine indoors under new mandates that take effect in New York City on Monday.
Mayor Bill de Blasio earlier this month said employees of private businesses would need to submit proof of at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose by Monday, Dec. 27, and will not allow employees to opt out of vaccination through regular testing. As part of the mandate, employers will have to keep full records of their workers’ vaccination statuses. Businesses that do not comply face fines starting at $1,000.
Children ages 5-11 in New York are now also required to show proof of at least one shot before being allowed access to indoor dining, fitness or entertainment, and adults will be required to show proof of two vaccinations for those areas.
As the Omicron coronavirus variant spreads across the country, more events are being canceled or postponed, airlines and cruise lines are scrambling to deal with last-minute changes, and New York City’s vaccine mandate for the private sector is set to go into effect Monday.
The new requirements begin as the state broke a single-day record with 49,708 new Covid-19 cases reported on Christmas Eve, according to data released on Sunday by Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
Apparently community leadership have been engaging the Governor alot lately. If they are claiming to “represent ” us what exactly are they telling her in reference to mandates in particular to our children!! We have the right to know this!
When leadership engaged with govoner Cuomo for last year tishrei and he said “there was an agreement with the community members who “represent ” us”?! It didnt end well. He ended up mandating to close the shuls for succos etc…. I dont believe they represent us, it’s more for politics then us. Let’s hope she seems nicer, it wont go that far.
There are conflicting interests to be represented fairly by a tiny group of people . Its your body, child and employment on the line. You advocate for your beliefs! We have been making the mistake to leave it to the “professionals” assuming their beliefs were allied with ours or that independent/outide interests would not be factor . It simply can’t go on like this!

Before 2020, we called routine coronavirus infections a cold when mild, a strong cold when more symptomatic, and the flu when accompanied by fever. What are we going to do when they start mandating the vaccine for kids? Which is pure evil when we know they don’t need it and the adverse reactions are very real for them.
September 2022 all children in nyc will need a vaccine for covid to attend any school, period.

Heaven help the kids,these vaccines are so new and by reports from Israel affect many woman hormonally,teenagers are not in dangerous category.please parents don’t be pressured into giving teens/young.im all for vaccinating over 50’s as they’re in higher risk but not this.
