In anticipation of the Rebbe’s 123rd birthday: A special melody for the new chapter!
As is the custom of the Chassidim every year, this year too, in anticipation of the Rebbe’s birthday, a new melody has been composed for the Rebbe’s chapter of Psalms for this year.
In anticipation of the 124th birthday, Yanki Marton continues this tradition and presents his new and moving melody for chapter (”Kapitel”) 124 in Psalms, Our help is in the name of the Lord, which accompanies this year of the Rebbe’s birth.

R. Sholom Bruchshtat’s student releases a niggun for the Rebbe’s birthday
Over 30 years ago, at that time a young bochur Chaim Tovshteyn emigrated to Crown Heights from the former Soviet Union together with his family. His family had to work hard to rebuild the means for living from zero. While being a student at Hadar haTorah, Chaim found a part-time job with R Sholom chairs rentals and mattresses. While this job was very hard, it was like a dream because R Sholom’s nigunim were warming Chaim’s soul even back in his hometown.
Every time the Rebbe’s birthday was coming up, Chaim couldn’t resist and was trying to learn from R’ Sholom and compose his own niggun. While the niggunim were not coming out that well, Chaim did learn a lot from R’ Sholom, while seated next to him in his Van.
Time passed, Chaim got married and moved on to a programming career but never forgot the warmth of that Van. Fast forward to COVID ,,, and he loses both of his parents, A”H.
Something moved, and most likely that was his parents’ never ending support, the door to nigunim miraculously opened up. Initially, they were giving some comfort after huge loss, and later, Chaim finally rejoins as one of the creators of Rebbe’s birthday niggunim.
Presenting the new niggun for our dear Rebbe birthday!
