“Mitzva mobile, make the world a better place.”
These are the words written in the new Mitzva tank dedicated today in Berlin.
“The Synagogue on Wheels is here to strengthen Jewish practice and awareness. Its purpose is to strengthen Jewish awareness in a lively manner and ensure a strong Jewish future, anyone can hop on and learn anything about Judaism,” said Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Berlin. “One can put on tefillin or pick up candles to light for Shabbat,” he said.
The Mitzva Mobile was dedicated today by the rabbi of Berlin Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal with many guests and a strong media presence in Berlin.
Among the guests were the Chief Rabbi of Holon, Rabbi Yochanan Gurary, Rabbi of Dresden, Rabbi Shneor Havlin, Rabbi Shmuel Segal, the donor families, many Berlin Rabbis, and many others.
Also in attendance was the famous actress and moderator Susan Sideropoulos, president of Keren Hayesod Berlin Nathan Gelbart, and many others.
The Mitzva Mobile will be run by Rabbi Mendel Brandwine, who will go out every day around Berlin and to other cities with no Jewish infrastructure to enable people to learn more about Jewish life, it will visit schools and central places for anyone to learn more about being Jewish life and practice.
The Mitzva Mobile was sponsored by a number of families in Berlin.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the mobile sprang into action, it traveled to the Brandenburg gate where people immediately began doing good deeds.
