A magnificent new library was placed in the men’s section at the Kotel Western Wall in Jerusalem.
The unique golden-framed library is carved in stone at the back of the Western Wall plaza and contains four double columns where new prayer books can be found in various versions for the benefit of the public.
This initiative of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation is intended to make it easier for the worshipers who have until now had to approach the arch on the left to find a prayer book.
The new library is accessible and friendly, protected from rain and sun by glass doors and allows the public to use Siddurim and Tehillim within easy reach.
Excellent beautiful thank you so much for sharing keep up the good work
I saw these a few weeks ago and it is magnificent! For those who are complaining that it’s a mess- take the time and volunteer to fix it!
I saw them in the ladies’ section last week – they have been placed on the stone slabs where I like to sit during Eicha. But they are already disorganized and messy, why don’t people put the sefarim back? And it would be helpful to label shelves with Chabad, Breslov etc. I had to hunt for a Chabad siddur & when I finished I put it next to the one Tanya I found..
Why not do for women as well?
We need more tefillin especially leftys and Rabbeinu Tams
and Raavid
Just left a few hrs ago didn’t see any new ones maybe they will install them but not yet
it”ll be a good idea put sefarim of chabad
