Nearly six hundred Chabad shluchim worldwide are gearing up to lead three all-new courses from the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute that bring Kabbalah, the Rebbe’s guidance for life, and Jewish values for life and death decisions to a broad audience. As part of JLI’s Flagship program, the courses are positioned to reach eighty thousand participants.
Since its inception in 1998, JLI has worked to equip shluchim worldwide with quality resources to boost their Mivtza Torah programming. The upcoming courses for 5784 build on the institute’s twenty-five years of experience in helping shluchim reach a broader audience through Torah learning.
This fall, The World of Kabbalah: A Transformative Journey to Uncover Its Mystical Secrets will kick off the academic year by tapping into a growing public interest in Judaism’s mystical teachings. Created by Rabbi Mordechai Dinerman, this six-lesson course will guide students through Kabbalah’s core concepts and the profound insights they offer for everyday life.
A unique winter course titled Advice for Life: The Rebbe’s Advice for Leading a More Purposeful Life will commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gimmel Tammuz by exploring the Rebbe’s guidance to individuals for living more purposefully. Developed by Rabbi Naftali Silberberg, this six-part multimedia course uses video elements to bring the Rebbe’s timeless perspectives on work, family, health, and well-being to a broad audience.
Finally, next spring, Decisions of Fate: Guiding Jewish Values for Making Life-and-Death Decisions will unpack the values underlying Halacha’s approach to life’s highest stakes decisions, covering the Jewish medical ethics of risky treatments, end-of-life care, abortion, and care of the deceased. Developed by Rabbi Shmuel Super, this four-lesson course addresses real-life ethical challenges students have faced and offers accredited continuing education for doctors, medical practitioners, and attorneys.
Empowering shluchim to share authentic Torah learning that addresses pressing real-life issues, the three courses are sure to resonate with a wide audience. Building on their decades of experience, JLI provides comprehensive course marketing materials, including eye-catching posters, brochures, social media graphics, and emails.
The culmination of years of research and development, JLI’s courses for 5784 continue the institute’s track record of effective Jewish adult education. Since its inception, the Flagship program has reached 977 communities in 41 U.S. states and 28 countries, spanning five continents and 11 languages.
With enticing topics, professional packaging, and authentic Torah content, The World of Kabbalah, the Rebbe’s Advice for Life, and Decisions of Fate are set to fascinate, educate, and inspire a deeper connection to Judaism and the Rebbe’s teachings, and how they impact everyday life.
These are done exceptionally well.
