The Shluchim of Yeshivah Beis Dovid Shlomo in New Haven launched a Mivtzah Hachanah for Yud Shevat, which included learning Sichos and Maamorim Baal Peh, filling out a Duch of Hanhagos Tovos at the end of the every week, and passing a test on the daily Tanya. There was also a competition between the 3 Shiurim for the most points throughout the Mivtzah.
In total, the bochurim earned a whopping 26,075 points, and learned 15,483 Osiyos of Maamorim and Sichos.
Before the raffles took place, Maggid Shiur Rabbi Gershon Borenstein shared a few words about connecting Yud Shevat with the continuation of the year.
The prizes included 2 sets of Likutei Sichos, a set of Shas, a set of Rambam and other sets including Sefer Hamaamorim Mulukat and Chassidus Mevueres.
Each Bochur who earned at least 430 points throughout the Mivtzah received a Sefer.
Bochurim Mendy Avtzon and Leibel Khazanowitz with over 900 points each, also received a special Sefer.
At the end of the program the winner of the competition was announced, Shiur Gimmel, who won with 10,038 points.
