As parents and educators, we understand the importance of equipping our children with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of life. Now, there’s a captivating resource that takes this endeavor to a whole new level: I Can Do It! is a compelling book crafted to speak to the heart of a child. Within its pages lie 9 short stories that resonate with children, presenting them with a world of emotions, dilemmas, and triumphs that they can easily relate to.
This treasure trove of tales, written by Mrs. Dassie Heber, shlucha in Yorktown, NY, incorporates messages from Tanya, The Rebbe’s Letters, Sichos, and other Chassidic sources. By infusing the stories with the wisdom of Chassidus, I Can Do It! creates a synthesized space where children can grasp profound concepts about their emotions and experiences in a uniquely loving, Jewish way.
For parents and teachers, I Can Do It! serves as a springboard for open and meaningful dialogue with children. Reading the story to your child and then discussing the characters’ experiences creates the opportunity for important discussions that may not happen otherwise. Read the book and let the inspiration become a part of your home or classroom!
In her foreword to the book, popular psychologist Sarah Chana Radcliffe writes, “Children who experience this [book’s] powerful yet gentle form of emotional and spiritual education will be blessed with the resources they need to face life with joy, confidence, and equanimity.”
I Can Do It! is now available at your local Judaica store and on Amazon.

This book is incredible
Don’t be fooled by the child friendly style. This book is relevant to grandparents and toddlers and anyone in between. There are real psychological and emotional skills hidden here, as well as authentic Torah Hashkafa. A winner! Hoping there’s a sequel!
Just rewrite all the adult self help books as kid friendly (and pictures, of course!) and I’m in!
