Chief Brian Conroy, recently appointed the new NYPD Chief of Brooklyn South, met with Crown Heights leaders to discuss concerns of the Jewish community and local issues.
Chief Conroy visited NYPD Clergy Liaison Devorah Halberstam, and was introduced by members of Brooklyn South Chief Charles Scholl, Lt. Ira Jablonsky, Detective Moore and P.O. Tommy Nyhill.
Chief Conroy also visited with members of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council, at the home of Intergovernmental Liaison Chanina Sperlin.
Discussions included the upcoming Jewish High Holidays and security concerns in the neighborhood, Brooklyn South and the city.
“Chief Conroy is known as a real hands-on Chief, who really gets things done,” said Devorah Halberstam. “I was honored to welcome him, and wished him the best of luck in his new role.”
