In the Wachau Valley of Austria, preparations are underway for the opening of a new seminary for the upcoming year, 5785.
The Chabad Seminary of Austria places special emphasis on practical preparations for a life of Shlichus and self-realization in the ways of Chassidus. This is cultivated through specialized courses, visits to various Chabad houses throughout Europe, and practical training in Chabad institutions in Vienna, Austria.
The staff is entirely composed of shluchim and educators who will provide students with an in-depth education comprising of: Torah and Chassidus; hiskashrus to the Rebbe, and the foundational building blocks of a Chassidic Jewish home, all with personal care for the students and their parents.
The seminary is established under the initiative and guidance of the head shliach to Austria, Rabbi Yaakov Biderman, and will be led by Rabbi Zalman and his wife Blumi Raskin, who have been successfully involved in formal and informal education for over 18 years in Vienna, engaging with the younger generation.
The spiritual leadership will be provided by Rabbi Chaim Fieldsteel, the head of the Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim of Vienna.
The seminary is located on a spacious and elegant campus, about a hour’s drive from Vienna. The campus includes a magnificent palace with comfortable private rooms each with attached washrooms, well-equipped classrooms, vast lawns and gardens, a dining hall and a large spacious auditorium.
The seminary is intended for serious girls who are committed to lead chassidish lives and wish to experience a year of deep study and practical experience in the life of shlichus, all within a warm and socially supportive environment and excellent accommodations.
Registration will open, iy”h, after Chanukah, 5784 (תשפ”ד).
