Bread and Dairy Cafe, an exciting new addition to the Crown Heights community, is having its grand opening today, March 25, 2025.
The cafe is a sister store to the popular Prime Avenue, located on Kingston Avenue. The new eatery will offer delicious milchig food with the same high-quality service and fresh ingredients that Prime Avenue is known for. Whether you’re going out with friends, family or on your own, this cafe will provide a welcoming place for you.
The idea for Bread and Dairy Cafe came from the desire to create a place for something fresh and authentic. “People were telling me that they wanted a change from the usual bagel and sandwich options,” explains owner Yossi Gershovitz. This cafe, designed to be a relaxed, all-day place, providing fresh food and healthy options for everyone—without the pressure to rush through a meal, will offer something unique.
Bread and Dairy Cafe will offer an all-day brunch menu, with options like hot and cold drinks, specialty breads for brunch, milchig soups, fresh pastas, focaccia, and sourdough. The menu will feature an exciting array of light and healthy meals such as open toast, avocado toast, acai bowls, and more. Customers can enjoy something delicious at any time of day.
Just like Prime Avenue, Bread and Dairy Cafe will provide high-quality food at affordable prices. “We offer a great value for your money,” says Gershovitz. The cafe will cater to those looking for lighter meals, with options for special events like Sheva Brachot and catering services.
With its focus on fresh, healthy breads made on-site, and a variety of healthy drinks, the cafe aims to provide something for everyone—whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a relaxed brunch with friends.
Customers can order from a convenient kiosk, see the menu on your phone, and enjoy freshly made meals. For more information, contact Bread and Dairy Cafe at 718-576-6664.

Are you seed oil free and have wheat free options (spelt)?
Aside for allergy reasons, since probably many menu items aren’t allergy free, what is the problem with seed oils?
Are extremely unhealthy, they are deodorized and bleached and cause weight gain and lots of health problems. If you want to learn more about it look up Dr Paul saladino or Dr Ken berry on YouTube
Some influencers decided seed oils were bad therefore they’re bad. Even though science shows that some seed oils are actually healthier than alternatives.
