The man who exposed the dark antisemitic views of Helen Thomas, Dean of the White House Press Corps, is doing something big to spread light.
International speaker David Nesenoff, known for capturing Thomas’ racist rant on camera, will be organizing and hosting a global broadcast that will unite Jews around the flame of the Menorah.
The global webcast is scheduled for the first night of Chanukah on Tuesday, December 16 at 9:00 PM EST and will be filmed from the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach, Florida, with live footage from Jerusalem, Paris, Moscow and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Nesenoff is no stranger to world travel, after visiting over 450 Chabad centers, Jewish communities and university campuses throughout the world sharing his humorous and inspirational messages of Jewish pride.
“We are coming to the spectacular memorial in South Florida, to a deep, painful spot, where we will transform even this dark place into a light of hope and joy,” Nesenoff told COLlive.com.
Titled One Night One Light, the broadcast will feature remarks and blessings from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu , Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, and philanthropist Mayer Nigri.
The 30-minute program is promising to be uniquely enjoyable, musical, international and inspirational which Nesenoff says is built “on the Rebbe’s concept of one little flame can bring light to darkness.”
Entertainment will be provided by veteran comedian Jackie Mason, the Maccabeats acapella group and the soulful singer/songwriter Levi Robin.
The event is being produced by Adam Nesenoff, David’s son who is currently studying at Beis Medrash Chovevei Torah in Crown Heights. The young Nesenoff produced the viral video “Shmurah Mazto Bentley” this past Pesach which was translated to 7 languages.
“When I volunteered and led Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services this year in Pennsylvania and Florida prisons, I learned many things from the inmates,” says Adam.
“Three seconds can change your life in a bad way and three seconds can change your life for good things; and I believe a global goodness can start within the seconds it takes to light a candle on the first night of Chanukah.”
Event coordinators invite everyone to spread the word and tune in to this inaugural online Chanukah event. Menorahs are available in advance from OneNightOneLight.com for those who are newcomers to the Chanukah lighting; and all are urged to light their first candle at the appropriate times.

It’s probably late by now. But, may be the event should be longer in order to include Shluchim and communites from around the world
Giving Tzedaka before ‘lighting’ the light is an essential component of enhancing the light…even more.
My dear Rabbi Nessenoff and WOW son Adam

PUBLIC MENORAH LIGHTING IN MOBILE. ALABAMA
I will definitely be sending out the event info to my entire community. I have great confidence that this event will be inspiring and impactful. I know that the program will touch people in ways that I am not even able to do.
I encourage all Shluchim to follow my lead and promote the event and get all of the yidden to light menorah and spread the light of chassidus and yiddishkeit.
This sounds like a great way to get more people from our small community in involved with chanukah and the chabad house.
Yasher kayach Rabbi Nesenoff!
in a world gone insane, the more light the better, yashar koach Mr Nessenof
