Where did the photographer shoot from to get this view ?

How would Americans take that?

I’m sorry as much as he’s a mench… As a jew especially a chabad guy, who follows the Rebbes opinion, It would be more fitting to make the main thing in Jerusalem the kotel, I’m in photography myself, & there’s a lot of room were you can make a picture really nice with the beautiful holy sites in Jerusalem, And show the world & ” National Geographics” what’s Jerusalem and what as a jew is most important to him, And that we hold strong in out land and we not even “goires” (גורס) the arabs, As for now it’s like… Read more »

Nice picture really, could have emphasized another possibly even better point of beauty. But might not have won. That’s golus.

Commenting Is Important
July 31, 2016 6:27 pm

True it is a visually beautiful picture. And so true that I know very little about photography or visual arts as a whole. But I do have an opinion and that is important to me. We are in golus, that much I’m sure of. I don’t know the photographer. He’s probably a real mentch. I think I should write that he’s a mentch so it won’t seem like the rest of my comment is stam just being negative for no good reason. Which it is. But, woah, a mosque. Dome of the Rock
July 31, 2016 4:56 pm

The Dome is NOT A mosque. They built their al aksa mosque on Har HaBayis further to the south NOT on place of Kodesh Hakodoshim.

True!

I am sure the photographer is a great guy!

This picture, though, is a reminder of Golus and Churban, and political correctness. Shame the picture couldn’t at least capture the Wall…

Yes a visually beautiful picure

But the subject matter is VERY painful. May it all disappear today !

Confusing

The site of our Beis Hamikdash is definitely beatiful,
But the current sight is not as much

Done well... but
July 31, 2016 2:20 pm

Very well done, but why as a jew, especially chabad do we make the center of Jerusalem & the main thing on a picture a “Mosque”? There’s so many other things like the kotel, Tower of David, that if done well could make your picture good too

Wow!
