Rabbi Danny Cohen of Chabad of Hebron has sent a message informing the public that they will be davening at mearas hamchpela on behalf of all who request.
“In light of the current unfortunate events, there are no visitors in Hebron, which gives us a bit of private time with our Mothers and Fathers,” he wrote.
“For years the Chabad community and Jewish world at large have been here for us, now we want to be there for YOU.
“We will be davening daily in Hebron for each and every one of you. Please use the form in the attached link to send the names of you and your loved ones.
“May Hashem bless each and every one of you together with your family with health and happiness, may we be Zocheh to see you all soon here with the coming of Moshiach speedily!”
Since the message has been shared, “hundreds of requests have poured in,” Rabbi Mordechai Hellinger from Chabad of Hebron told COLlive. “Each and every one are being read at the Meoras Hamachpela.”
“A special trip was made to the Kever of Rebbetzen Menucha Rochel to daven for her descendant R’ Leibel Groner as well,” Rabbi Hellinger said.
The davening takes place in a secluded location in the vicinity of the Machpela with proper social distancing, he informed.
