Sunny sidewalks are abuzz this week in North Miami Beach, Florida. The countdown to Bais Menachem’s second gala Chinese auction has sparked interest throughout the Miami area. With only one week left to purchase tickets for a host of interesting prizes, tickets are reportedly selling briskly.
“We’ve seen such genuine interest in our auction,” said Mrs. Nechamee Brody and Mrs. Rochel Zuckerman, the auction’s enthusiastic coordinators. “People are offering to help sell tickets. Sponsors are eager to offer prizes. It makes you realize just how much Bais Menachem means to people.”
The theme of the current year’s auction paints a portrait of a peaceful and determinedly charitable community that is energetically expanding its facilities and programs to keep up with constant, rapid growth – strong internal growth as well as the attraction of several new young families per year.
The Bais Menachem campus currently includes three adjacent buildings – its original synagogue, a brand new community center, and the Tzivos Hashem House that hosts youth activities, including the Tzivos Hashem Club and the popular weekly Children’s Minyan.
Less recognized perhaps is the awareness that beyond the bricks and mortar of new construction and away from the busy bustle of programs, minyanim, and shiurim, a human support system quietly breaths vitality and breeds brotherhood in the homes and hearts of the Bais Menachem community.
Under the dedicated care and guidance of Rabbi Yossi and Chana Marlow, the members of this Chabad stronghold have proven themselves enthusiastic to reach out to their own, offering selfless acts of care and chessed.
Beyond the chance to win a vacation, kosher cruise, crystal chandelier, diamond jewelry or one of the scores of attractive prizes on bmnmbauction.org, people are genuinely pleased to at having been provided with an opportunity to support a wonderful community and to give back.
