KMR--best of both worlds...
April 9, 2013 12:37 am

The gashmius was only surpassed by the ruchnius of so many different types of Jews celebrating together, learning from the most inspirational teacher in YYJacobson, sharing in the joyousness with beautiful friends and families with attention to every detail from the Werners for their every guest, and accompanied by the most extraordinary devoted creative hard working counselors for the boys and girls and even the littlest ones, to the generosity and love shown to one and all and the over the top inspiration of being with Rabbi Yitzy and Dina Hurwitz——may they be blessed with ONLY more simchas—-it was hard… Read more »

What a wonderful cast of performers.
A suggestion:
The frum female performer scene is exploding in the Jewish world in general and in Chabad in specific. How about a concert especially for the women and girls?

KMR ROCKS!!!!!
April 8, 2013 7:27 am

Kinah is a terrible trait #15. #20 great response and hope it echoes everyone’s feeling. Going to KMR is like going to your family just on a huge scale. The achdus, the warmth, the serious attention given to every detail especially the diligence towards halachah. I can’t think of one thing lacking. I wish for 15 the treat of experiencing such a Pesach! If you can’t be happy for others at least don’t publicise your negative comments. Besides all the amazing lectures, entertainment full of Tochein, it was all worth it to see how happy the Hurwitz family was and… Read more »

Comment #20: ditto. Comment #15 is opening a huge can of worms here. Next thing you know we’ll berate people for staying at expensive hotels, eating at expensive restaurants, making expensive weddings, buying expensive clothes. Their privilege! We all try this argument from time to time, but it just never flies. In 36 years of marriage, we have missed only two Pessachs at home, all others were spent in our kitchen trenches, always a great success. So why go away these last two times? Just because we’re not as young as we used to be, and it got harder. Yes,… Read more »

I never had the luxury of going to a resort for pesach, but if I could I would fly faster than the concord. What is wrong with celebrating pesach NOT as a slave.!!!! when you make pesach at home that is what you are a SLAVE. It is none stop cooking and cleaning and cooking and cleaning and cooking and cleaning. Just what every maid does! As far as the kids are concerned, by the time they grow up Moshiach will (he better) be here so the transition for these kids will be a very easy one – lucky them!!!… Read more »

ANSWER TO NUMBER 15
April 7, 2013 4:40 am

For many years I couldnt understand those who lock up and leave home for Pesach. I grew up in a home where Leil Haseder is the highlight of the year, pashut Me’ein olam habo. Now as a 30 year old father of four, I can fully relate and understand some of those who leave home. Try to understand that some of these people are hard working individuals who may be working 10-15 hours a day (one income earner or maybe even both) and never get to see and enjoy their own family. Even shabbos is spent on catching up sleep… Read more »

…sarcastic remarks about such a thing being for the rich and spoiled, while most of us shleppers did our own avoidas Parech at home and did a real Peisach vi es darf tzu zain, wont get published ! In my humble opinion, unless there are severe circumstances, CH”V such as illness or family problems, we should all be well, everyone else should do it the right way and stay at home. Also, has anyone considered the fact that many of these kids grow up expecting a Pesach in a resort, especially if the family goes away each year I am… Read more »
