Is this article really relevant? It only adds to the anxiety and confusion already present due to the current circumstances. These wasps are at present in Washington State and are concerned with bees – not humans. Why add to our anxiety?

Apparently it can also harm humans...

B”H

The name of this insect is the “Giant Asian Hornet” and they have been in this country for years. They survive in warm climates and have never migrated to the cold U.S. Northeast. If they ever did arrive here, they’d be mugged if they flew on the nasty streets of Brooklyn so no need to fear. Seriously, they have been here in the U.S. for quite a while, and they pose NO danger to New Yorkers!

…could it be the Tzir’ah? The tzir’ah helped the yidden by killing the cnaanim when the yidden were entering Eretz Yisroel from the Midbar. It is mentioned in parshas Mishpotim, Parshas Eikev and Sefer Yehoshua; does anyone know if it says anything about it in connection with the times of Moshiach?

Food shortage?

If they go nationwide and kill too many honey bees, will there be a food shortage?
