Mrs. Sara Raizel Wolowik, the matriarch of a large Chabad family who lived in Montreal, passed away on Thursday, 11 Iyar, 5782.
She was 77.
Sara Raizel (nee Fishman) and her husband Rabbi Leibel Wolowik were longtime residents of the Montreal Chabad community.
In her younger days, Mrs. Wolowik was a teacher at Bais Rivkah in Montreal.
She was a devoted mother to her large family, and was loved by all who knew her.
She was involved with Nshei in Montreal, spending much time devoted to Chesed work.
Important: The family requests that her husband Rabbi Leibel Wolowik should not be informed of her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Leibel and children, Rabbi Yerachmiel Wolowik – Los Angeles, CA, Yitzchok Wolowik – New York/Florida, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Wolowik – Five Towns, NY, Rabbi Yosef Wolowik – Los Angeles, CA, Rabbi Avrohom Wolowik – Baltimore, MD, Mendel Wolowik – Crown Heights, Berel Wolowik – Five Towns, NY, Henya Muller – Montreal, CA, Shmuel Wolowik – Long Beach, CA, Machli Kantorovich – S. Diego, California, Chana Herz – Five Towns, NY and Peretz Wolowik – Pomona, NY.
The levaya will take place in Montreal passing by yeshiva at 3:30pm, and will pass by Bais Rivkah.
The Levaya in New York will take place Friday, passing by 770 at 10:30 am.
Graveside at old Montefiore Cemetery at 11:30 am.
The family will be sitting Shiva at 748 Central Ave. Woodmere NY.
Friday afternoon: Mincha Minyanim every 15 minutes starting at 3pm until 5pm.
Friday Shiva will end after the 5pm Mincha.
Moitzei Shabbos:
Shiva hours 9:45-11:30
Sunday:
Shachris – Every 15 minutes starting 8am until 10am.
Monday Through Thursday Shachris, Every 15 minutes starting 7am through 9am
Sunday through Wednesday
Mincha 7:45.
Mariv 8:45.
Family requests no visitors between
12pm-1:30pm and 5pm-7pm
And not after 10 pm Sunday through Wednesday

Mrs. Wolowik leaves behind quite a legacy. I personally know two of her daughters who are extraordinary young women today.
She was so beautiful inside and out. So much fun to be around. I feel privileged to have known her. She helped me and gave me such chizuk when my own father passed. She will be a meletz yosher for klal Yisrael. My condolences to her family. Chava Rochel Krintzman

Mrs Wolowik was quite a unique and special lady. Always trying to help someone, . She even hired people to drive her around to give out Mishloach Manos and Matza for Pesach. She always wanted things to be done right

Mrs. Wolowik was my beloved 4th grade teacher in Bais Rivkah in Montreal. Her legacy lives on as I have the zechus of teaching her amazing granddaughters here in Los Angeles.
