Mrs. Sara Mishulovin (Cohen), matriarch of a Chabad family from Rechovot, Israel, passed away on Wednesday, 23 Kislev, 5784.
She was 91.
Sara was the daughter of legendary Chasidim Reb Avrohom and Bracha Zaltzman.
Together with her husband Reb Chaim Eliyahu Mishulovin obm, she fought to keep Yiddishkeit alive behind the iron curtain, and specifically in Samarkand. The Tomchei Temimin Yeshiva in Samarkand operated out of their home.
She is survived by her children, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Mishulovin – Los Angeles, CA, Rebbetzin Rochel Gluckowsky, (wife of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky) – Rechovot, Eretz Yisroel, Reb Sholom Dovber Mishulovin – S. Paul, Minnesota, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers, Rabbi Berel Zaltzman, New Jersey, and Rabbi Hillel Zaltzman, Crown Heights.
The family asks that Rabbi Berel Zaltzman, NJ not be informed of his sister’s passing.
The Levaya is taking place today in Yerushalayim.
