oy so sad she was such a nice women and will certainly be missed a lot
Rochel was always so gracious and warm to me as a single woman living in Crown Heights 24 years ago. Such hachnasas orchim and generosity. I am very saddened to hear of her premature passing…
A unique person who kept an open heart and open door for those in need.
It is a great loss.

Through the years the kindness and warmth she showed me and the special friend she always proved to be was a z’chut for me to have known her. Her devotion to the Rebbe was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her having touched the many lives she did left a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to have had this blessing. She will be forever in our hearts.
With deep affection Esther Dihtiar
I can not put in word’s what a special person she was. I will always remember you.

Lives on in her beautiful children.
May she be a gutte better for them and for Reb Nochum Shlita and may the Pinson and Drizin families know of only simchas and bsuros tovos
A WARM AND SPECIAL LADY IN THE FULL SENSE OF THE WORD.
SHE WILL BE SORELY MISSED.
To Rabbi Moshe Pinson and to all of the family,
May the Ribono Shel Olam give you strength to carry-on.
Find comfort in the amount of goodness people remebered her for and knowing that those she has helped will forever remember her.
All that you, Moshie, do for so many of us carries her signature and is part of her everlasting connection to you.
We feel your pain. T’hei Nishmosa Tzrurura Bitzror Hachayim.
Rochel Pinson A”H had many many “followers”. So many baalei teshuva looked to her for guidance and spirituality. Her home and heart were open to them always. Among these mushpaim was Mark Fisher A”H. A jet-set Manhattan businessman whom we were lucky to know when he was first becoming frum. He often talked of Mrs. Pinson and how admired her. He visited the Pinson home regularly. In recent years he married (he was so proud that she is an “FFB”;) and had two kinderlach living in Flatbush. He got the same machla as Mrs. Pinson and was nifter a week… Read more »
Can this really be true? A person with such chein, integrity, love of life and yet with a deep connection to the Rebbe…You deserved to have lived until 180 at least! We will miss you. Please daven on our behalf, Rochel mevaka al baneha, for Moshiach. NOW!
For this beautiful family. Rochel? This cannot be real. Bayis Maleh Ohr V’Simchah – until late late hourse. Sipping tea and chocolate.
We must thank hashem for every day we had her.
Over the years having married into the family, Rochel was a family member who touched me heart and soul. She was so warm, her smile penetrating and embracing. I am so sorry I did not know anything about her illness to be able to reach out. It is most shocking to face the reality of this loss. Rochel is someone who made a monumental difference to all those who were fortunate to know her, and that is felt deeply, now and always.
May she be a maylitz yosher for her family and klal yisroel.
With Love
I just went once to her house for shabbas about 23 years ago and I will never forget how special it was and how impress I was by Mrs. Pinson numerous qualities. She was for sure one of a kind.
G-d it hurts! I am crying feeling the immense loss of your passing. Although I didn’t keep in touch with you in the last few years because of personal obligations, and was unfortunately completely ignorant about your situation, I often thought of the times that I spent at your home and in the country; the warmth, the camaraderie, the womanly wisdom that you graciously shared with me. You were one of a kind. A real woman, an original without trying to be one. Endowed with deep understanding and feelings to us that came from totally different backgrounds than yourself, you… Read more »
How will this world survive without this special person.
Warm, caring for all. Going back, 30 years, she had many machone chana girls at her table. She sat up to late hours of the night (till 2-3 am) talking with persian youths, or single unmarried girls, in need of shidduchim. She spent all her energies to run her Chabad House on Montgomery St.
She was a very spiritual person and attracted many other spiritual people in need of her attention. May hashem grant you a Lichtiken Gan Eden
what a special special women. I was one of the many hundreds -thousands who just would show up to her home on Shabbos for a meal and feel invited and loved.
A sadder person
I was one of the many fortunate guests Rochel Pinson hosted. Rochel loved life and loved her family so much. She has influenced me so much as I raise my own family. Most of all, she was a living example of how a true chassidishe woman should be. Her home was open to all. We will miss you.
No mother in this world was prouder of her children- the nachas she got from them was equal to a 1,000 mothers at least…
What a sweet tzidkonis
The sweetest of the sweet
Gevald!!!
this cant be real!
What a blessing it was for me to know you.
May Hashem comfort your children and husband and give them the koach to continue in your ways.
I can’t even attempt to express my love, gratitude, and admiration for this special aunt of mine. You were always so kind, caring, and full of life. It’s heartbreaking to imagine the Drizin family without you. Please beg for Moshiach….we are counting you!!!!! We love you and miss you.
We can now know that Moshiach’s biggest supporter is up there begging for him to be revealed – it’s only a matter of time until this special lady gets her way
There can never be another Rochel in this world- you and your lovely sister Leah, she should live and be well, are true carriers of your special father’s name. You are both living examples of how the Rebbe wanted us to live – believing in the Aibishter with every fiber of your being, waiting every day for Moshiach, yet down to earth and enjoying life as well. Ad Mosai
How can we possibly describe our intense sadness today? Rocha, we will miss you every second of every day- Your twinkly smile, your generous spirit, your caring character…Pinsons, if we cousins could all take one ounce of your pain to lessen yours, we would. The only consolation is that with your true belief in Moshiach, he will finally come and take us out of our misery.
Rocha, I’m sure this loss is only temporary, because if anyone can bring Moshiach from up there it’s You Rocha. You and your sibliblings that predeceased you, and your parents, are a very powerful group, to bing Moshiach!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs Pinson I will truely miss you on my visits to NY – next door.
You were a true chassidishe Tochter.
via email?
I keep thinking about the moshiach seuda in her house every year…
Very sorry to hear…didn’t know her. She sounds like a ‘tzadekis.’

Rochel, I am in shock, it doesn’t make sense! Oy!
Very sad
I married into this special Drizin family and I cannot begin to describe what a special woman/aunt Rocha Pinson was. We are devastated at this loss and we are pleading with Rocha to demand that Moshiach come now!!!

May Hashem comfort us all and bring Moshiach now!
The post should also have said ‘beloved aunt to many’. No words can come close express what a beloved aunt she was to all of the Drizins. Compassionate, warm, loving, and most of all-the greatest role model. We miss you already, Rocha, it is unbearable to know we won’t see your smile again.

A really beautiful person both in and out who together with her husband raised generations of chassidim and real movers and shakers. She has indeed left a real mark on this world.
