Mrs. Rivkah Veshedsky, a mother and grandmother from Crown Heights, passed away on Friday night, 17 Tammuz, 5782.
She was 83.
Mrs. Rivkah Veshedsky was an only child born in Moscow to the famed Chosid and activist R’ Aba and Pesha Pliskin.
She was a devoted mother and wife, who was known for her legendary home-cooked meals and hospitality. The Veshedsky home on Eastern Parkway was always open to the Rebbe’s guests.
She was a long-time dedicated Morah at Mosdos daycare center.
She is survived by her children, Mussi Minsky – Crown Heights, Shaul Veshedsky – Kfar Chabad, Sarah Batt – Boro Park, Pinny Veshedsky, Shlomo Veshedsky, Reuven Veshedsky and Pessie Veshedsky – all of Crown Heights; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Rabbi Shalom Ber Veshedsky and son Yosef OBM.
The family is requesting that friends refrain from sharing the news with Shaul Veshedsky.
The Levaya will take place on Sunday, passing 770 at 2 PM and continuing to Old Montefiore cemetery.
Shiva will be held at the Veshedsky home until Friday afternoon.
