Mrs. Rivkah Cohen, a resident of Nachlas Har Chabad, Israel, passed away on the first day of Rosh Hashana, 5783.
She was the wife of Rabbi Shmuel Yechezkel Cohen, a respected member of the Chabad community in Nachlas Har Chabad, a Rosh Hakolel who in the past served as the Menahel of the Talmud Torah in the city, as well as a Baal Tokeiah.
She was the daughter of the Chosid R’ Yosef Goldberg OBM, a prominent Rosh Yeshiva, who once served as a Rosh Yeshiva in the Yeshiva in Brunoy, France, and influenced and educated many students.
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Yechezkel Cohen and children, R’ Moshe Dovid Cohen – New York, Mrs. Chana Schwartz – Ramat Aviv, Israel, Mrs. Sarah Mann – Montreal, Canada, R’ Yitzchok Cohen – Tel Aviv, Israel, Mrs. Rochel Kot – Riga, Latvia, Mrs. Devorah Klaytman – Kfar Chabad, Israel, R’ Menachem Mendel Cohen – Tel Aviv, Israel, Mrs. Leah Goldmitz – Merkaz Shapira, Israel, Mrs. Bracha Peles – Ashkelon, Israel, and R’ Shneur Zalman Cohen – Bnei Brak, Israel.
She is also survived by her siblings, Rabbi Yaakov Goldberg and Rebbetzin Bluma Osdoba of Crown Heights, Rabbi Yitzchok Goldberg – Migdal Haemek, Israel, Mrs. Bracha Wolf – Chicago, IL and Mrs. Sara Klyne – Manchester, UK.
The levaya took place today in Israel.
The family will be sitting Shiva in Nachlas Har Chabad at 178 Kiryat Malachi.
Rabbi Yaakov Goldberg will be sitting shiva at 1396 Carroll St through Tuesday early morning. There will be no minyanim in the house, with visiting hours between 12:00pm and 3:00pm, and 8:00pm and 10:00pm.
