Mrs. Rifka Kinn of London, and later of Manchester, the gentle and unassuming wife of the late R’ Betzalel Kinn obm and matriarch of a Lubavitch family and figure of the Lubavitch community, passed away on 4 Adar 2, 5784, March 13, 2024.
She was 83.
Rifka was born on the 14th of Cheshvan 5701 (1940) in Northampton to her father, Reb Shlomo HaLevi, and her mother, Yenta.
She was a dedicated wife and did the Rebbe’s work alongside her husband, as the Rebbe zy”a directed her to. She was continuously involved with acts of kindness and particularly with hachnosas orchim, and through this merited to participate in bringing many of our brethren, the sons and daughters of Israel, close to Hashem.
She supported her husband in running the first Chabad House (satellite outpost) of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad of England, and Machanei Gan Yisroel in Ramsgate, Kent on the estate of Sir Moses and Lady Judith Montefiore and other cities in England.
She is survived by her children; R’ Shloma Zelig (Johannesburg), R’ Baruch Yisroel (Manchester), Rabbi Dr Moshe Chaim (Manchester), R’ Yosef Yitzchok (Las Vegas), as well as grandchildren and great-grandchild.
