Mrs. Charna (Charolotte) Kolodny (nee Weg), matriarch of a large family, passed away.
She was the wife of R’ Yitzchok Kolodny obm, one of the ten bochurim that traveled from the US to learn in Tomchei Tmimim in Otvock, Poland.
He later taught in Tomchei Tmimim for decades.
Mrs. Kolodny moved to Israel around 10 years ago.
She is survived by her 5 sons, Fila, Sholom, Avrohom, Aharon, and Yosef Kolodny and many children, grand-children and great-grand-children.
The levaya took place in Israel.

Super Bubby OMB as she was affectionately known was with us in both mind and spirit until the last day. Last week Tuesday she celebrated a Chanukah and Birthday party in Yerushelayim surrounded by Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. I heard that if you have 7 sons in a row, the mother goes straight to gan eden. Hopefully she’ll be meilitz yosher for all her descendents still in galus and beg Hashem, Ad Mosai?!
She was reserved and unassuming. Tehelim was her constant companion. I will always remember her precious brown sefer Tehelim that never left her side. It had a chain handle and it closed with a snap, like a fancy evening bag. She davened alot from it. Her apartment often smelled of freshly home made challah. Leftover challah after shabbos was used for french toast. Her french toast was delicious. This is something we can all learn from her. Although she did not have much, the little that she had she gladly shared as is evident by the amount of tzedakah she gave and the chesed she did, often quietly.
