Mrs. Chana Maister Cohen, a long-time member of the Chabad community in St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, 28 Av, 5779.
She was 66.
Chana was a beloved member of the Chabad community in St. Paul, serving as a teacher and Mikvah attendant, and was an active member of N’shei Chabad.
She is survived by her husband Moshe and three children, Miriam Hoffman (Denver), Dvora Lakein (Pomona) and Chanan Maister (Crown Heights).
She is also survived by her father Dennis Glauber (Laguna Woods, CA) and siblings Harry Glauber (Israel), Barbara Lindenberg (Houston), and David Glauber (Seattle).
The Levaya will take place 10:30 am on Friday, UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY, 2605 W. 70 1/2 Street, Richfield, MN.
Shiva will be in S. Paul all next week and in Pomona, NY from Wednesday.

B.H. My husband and I were once hosted by Chana Maister, some years ago, when Chana and her family lived in Mequwon, Milwaukee, and my husband Hirschel was a Chazan in Mequwon. We are so very sad to hear of this news, and wish all family member’s, a gezunt and long life, full of Simchas from now on.
Mrs. Chana Maister Cohen will be sorely missed by the Saint Paul and Minneapolis Jewish communities, who were blessed by her kindness and generosity.
Her dedication to Yiddishkeit and strength of character were inspirational to many. We turned to her when a favor was needed, and knew we could rely on her compassion.
May Hashem comfort her family with sending the ultimate Redemption speedily in our days.

I met Chana when I was in Mn last winter. She was taking care of the reservations for the convention. She was very pleasant and she helped me secure the reservation that I wanted with a particular room mate. So sorry for your loss. We should hear only good news and simchas in the future.
Mrs. Maister Cohen was my teacher when I was a lot younger, not too long ago. I remember every interaction was with a smile that would shine and grow. As pictured above, each interaction was pleasant, and Mrs Maister had a beautiful aura and way about her. I recall the soft accent, and the gentle, comforting smile. Really distinct though, and I credit this to her alone, was her genuine smile and the the twinkle in her eye that would glow. I offer my condolence to the family. Chana was a wonderful friend and neighbor. She will be remembered by many for her kindness, aidelkeit and for serving Hashem with joy!

Chana volunteered at the Minnesota Historical Society for many years. We enjoyed her grace, her skills and her gentle sense of humor. She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to her family.
I remember Mrs. Maister driving us home from school for a while. She always conducted herself with an air of grace and nobility. She was a very special person.
