Mrs. Aidel Caplan, formerly of Montreal, Canada, passed away on Wednesday, 25 Elul, 5775.
She was 93.
She worked alongside her husband Reb Berel Caplan OBM, helping him to bring food to thousands in Montreal, Canada.
She is survived by her son and daughter, as well as many grandchildren and great – grandchildren.

Mrs Caplan was a humble honest true person As secretary of the PTA of the Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Montreal she wrote and practiced all the speeches the President Mrs Hasen had to make being that she was American Born and the other ladies were Europeans ,, English being her first language,,,,, never taking credit ,,, I once asked Mrs. Caplan why she was part of the PTA,,, ” so I can watch over my Mordecai”,,, Her Children were her life ,,, Her Husband was her life , saying Tehillim davening was her life ,,,, the ones that no one looked… Read more »
When Benny Caplan passed away many worried about how many families in Montreal would go hungry that Shabbos.
True Benny did all the running around dropping off food packages to Mrs Ca[plan’s credit not once did she interfere with all the chesed Mr Caplan did.
His kibbud av v’em was exemplary and often on the cheshbon of Mrs Caplan.
True baal shemvsker Jews. they dont make them any more..
I feel privileged having grown up in Montreal and watch them in action
We missed you when you left Montreal to live with your son Mordecai in Crown Heights ,,,,but we stayed connected knowing your saying Tehillum for us in Crown Heights
Now your in your special place in Gan Eden saying Tehillim for all of us,,,
She had a very special connection to her grandchildren.

Mrs Aidel Caplan O’H from the moment she opened her eyes saying Moideh Ani ….to kissing the Mezuzah of her bedroom at night before going to sleep …. spent her day…. Saying Tehillim for the lists upon lists of people who needed Yeshous…. in addition to helping her husband day in day out with his special “gefil” he had for another Yid… and even Lehavdil a customer of his who had no food he fed them as well…..
