On Sunday afternoon, Cheder Lubavitch Morristown held its final Fathers and Sons learning program for the year with a rally and awards, and concluded with a barbeque and baseball game between the boys and their fathers.
The program began with learning in the Bais Hamedresh Levi Yitzchok Shul where the Avos and Bonim program, led by Rabbi Schapiro, has taken place throughout the year every Motzei Shabbos.
It was then followed by a barbeque prepared by Dovid Solomon and Gedaliya Wollosh and the boys gathered together to say the 12 Pesukim and heard a wonderful story by Rabbi Hecht. Rabbi Hecht then presented the teachers with an appreciation gift on behalf of all the parents and the P.T.A.
Next, Mendy Paul presented awards to all the boys who participated in the “Chap-a-Chesed” program in memory of beloved Kitah Daled Melamed Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Schtroks obm who passed away recently, which included 150 combined hours of Chesed.
The program concluded with a baseball game with fathers and sons.
Much appreciation is deserved to all those who helped out including the boys from grades 7 and 8.
From the most – if not the most – Chassidishe Lubavitcher communities out there!
