Kollel D’Rav Pinchas Hirschprung in Hallandale Beach, Florida, founded earlier this year by Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, plans to publish a Kovetz/Sefer of Chidushei Torah in 4 months, to be released in honor of Yud Alef Nissan.
The Kollel, at Congregation Levi Yitzchok-Lubavitch/Chabad of South Broward Headquarters, at 1295 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard, runs from 6am-11am each morning. There are many Shiurim during these hours and Chavrusas, with more people joining every day.
Hallandale Beach, once considered a “sleepy town”, has seen some 300 young families move in to the city and nearby towns, which has turned the Main Chabad Shul into a “mini 770.” Locals and visitors started referring to 1295 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard as “the Shtiebelach of South Florida.”
Official Shachris Weekday Minyanim at the Main Chabad Shul are at: 6:45, 7:30, 7:45, 8:40 and 9:15; with many Minyanim often occurring after the last official Minyan.
The endless Minyanim, the 6-11am Kollel, the daily catered breakfast, including brewed coffee and an espresso machine with 35 cappuccino options, and the luxurious Men’s Mikvah that opens at 5am, has made Congregation Levi Yitzchok-Lubavitch/Chabad of South Broward Headquarters, the “one most popular stop for all Jewish needs,” for people of all ages.
The kollel is run in memory of Rabbi Hirschprung OBM, Chief Rabbi of Montreal (1969-1998) and a posek and Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Montreal.
His former talmidim are asked to submit Haaros, pilpulim and Maaseh Rav and stories of Rabbi Hirschprung for publication. Submissions should be in by Purim, they request.
