I met him in 5738/1977, when I was a guest in his sukkah. (They lived on Borbeck Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.) He made it clear to me that I should go to yeshiva then and not wait, and by Shemini Atzeres I was in Crown Heights ready to start at Hadar Hatorah.

Rabbi Feldman was my 2nd grade Rebbe at Beth Jacob. I remember him as a dynamic, lively teacher who always challenged us and taught us new ideas. I also remember visiting his home on Shabbos, as he lived less than 2 blocks away on Griffith Street.
Today I am also a teacher of Torah and Rabbi Feldman certainly has a ‘chelek’ in it.

I am saddened to learn of the untimely passing of such a wonderful young man. Rabbi Feldman was my daughter, Adina Luber’s 2nd grade Rebee at the Beth Jacob School in Philadelphia. May his wonderful wife, Rachel Leah and his children be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Sherry Luber Jerusalem, ISRAEL
Rabbi Feldman was so full of Simcha. What a loss. May he be a Meilitz Yosher for his family and for Klal Yisroel, and cause Hashem to bring us the ultimate Simcha B’Korov Mamosh!

The family will be sitting shiva in philadelphia
Where is the family sitting shiva?
He was so compassionate, and his home was always open to anyone! My children loved to spend time with Rachel Leah and him.
Rabbi Feldman was one of my first Jewish Studies teachers. He had so much enthusiasm and brought joy into our classroom. He made me feel special — and I wasn’t so special. I hope his family finds comfort among the mourners of Zion.
I was very sorry to hear.
He raised an amazing Shlucha that now lives in Brazil, and only from that, we could imagine how wonderful he was.
