On Sunday 17th of Adar, Kitah Alef – Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim – Montreal celebrated the Siyum of their first Parsha Parshas Bereishis.
Their Rebbi – Rabbi Chaim Berkowitz prepared the talmidim of Kita Alef for this historic event with colourful crowns, Nigunim, a special Siyum song and much more.
Parents and grandparents were present and had much nachas from their children as they sang Yiddish Nigunim and repeated the Posukim with their English and Yiddish translations so well.
The Siyum was concluded with a message from the principal Rabbi Moshe Shur in the name of the administrator R’ Shimmy Traurig. He congratulated them and related the message that this Siyum is in fact a beginning of many more Siyumim to come.
A special thanks to the Resource Room Rebbi, Rabbi Avrohom Chaim Cohen and the assistant principal Rabbi Dovber Myhill for helping coordinate the event.

The video is really beautiful and aidel! It’s so heartwarming to hear the boys singing Yiddishe Niggunim and the special Siyum song,and translating the Chumash so well in Yiddish.Our Yeshivah is very fortunate to have such a talented Rebbi like Rabbi Berkowitz. He puts so much Chayus and Toichen into his teaching, instilling in his Talmidim a real love for learning Torah ! May Hashem give him Koach and Brochos Ad Bli Dai !
