The victim of a vicious stabbing attack in Monsey, NY Wednesday morning has undergone the first of several surgeries and is responding to family, the Yeshiva World News reported.
The victim, an orthodox Jewish man who was attacked and repeatedly stabbed while walking to Synagogue for Shacharis prayers, has undergone serious and lengthy surgery, the second surgery since the attack, YWN reported.
This surgery was on his head, where he suffered a skull fracture. Doctors are hopeful that they will perform another surgery and will be able to save one of his eyes that was seriously damaged in the attack, they reported.
NY Governor Andrew Cuomo has directed NY State Police Hate Crimes Unit to investigate the brutal attack.
The Anti-Defamation League announced that it is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrests and convictions of those who carried out the vicious attack.
Ramapo Police are investigating multiple leads and are being assisted by Detectives from other agencies with the investigation.
