This past Motzai Shabbos – Parshas Vayeira 5776 – saw the kick off session of the new winter season of Avos U’bonim of the Chabad community in Monsey, NY, organized by Cheder Chabad of Monsey.
Over 65 boys and their fathers filled the Bais Medrash of the Tzemach Tzedek Shul.
“It was such a beautiful sight to see and wonderful sounds of Torah nlearning to hear!”, commented Rabbi Yisroel Shusterman, dean of the Cheder and coordinator of the program. “A real Chassidishe Nachas!”
This opening session of Avos U’bonim was graciously sponsored by Mr. Meir Zeiler and family of Nachlas Har Chabad, Israel.
After the learning session, many of the 12 Psukim were recited, followed by raffles for beautiful prizes, including Seforim, games, and motorized toys.
The program ended with a Chassidishe “Ma’aseh” told by Rabbi Shusterman, and the boys enjoying slices of pizza.
