Three years ago, Sylvia Nahmani was suddenly diagnosed with breast cancer. Her husband, Ronan, was sitting out a 20 year sentence in prison for a first-time, non-violent offense. Her five beautiful children, ages three to fourteen, were forced to uproot their lives and relocate so Sylvia could obtain medical treatment.
One day, Sylvia’s eight-year-old daughter asked her: “Mommy, what will happen if you die while Daddy is still in prison?”
Sylvia’s only prayer was that G-d have mercy on her children.
Thank G-d, the Aleph Institute was able to advocate for Ronan Nahmani and he returned home to his family a year ago. Sylvia hoped things would finally take a turn for the better. With extraordinary Emunah and Bitachon, she continued to pray and express her resolute faith in G-d.
But tragedy struck again.
After many months of painful suffering, Sylvia’s soul passed on to the next world. She leaves behind five orphaned children and a devastated husband. Ronan had selflessly cared for Sylvia day and night, but he now finds himself alone, without means or income, and under heavy debt from medical expenses. His five young children have endured countless traumas, from watching their father be shackled and imprisoned to watching their mother’s life painfully slip away. Now, the Nahmani’s are facing an apprehensive future.
Sylvia’s last dying wish was that her children would be blessed with happy and hopeful lives.
Please, answer Sylvia’s prayer.

No amount is too small or too large. We need $250,000 to cover the costs of setting Sylvia’s children up in stable circumstances. This campaign is spearheaded by the Edward J. Safra Synagogue of Aventura Fl., in conjunction with the Aleph Institute, which is providing financial, practical and emotional support to the Nahmani family during this painful time.
Donations can be made directly here: https://www.charidy.com/nachmani
Every dollar donated will go directly towards an escrow account of an attorney for the Nachmani family’s expenses.
May G-d bless you for your kindness and compassion.
