We can only imagine the difficulties people in Ukraine are facing.
“Whatever the news network is telling you, it’s only a fraction of what’s going on. People are left with nothing. The devastation is rampant,” shared Rabbi Zushe Abelsky, director of Chabad of Moldova.
“We must bring every ounce of light that we can to these people. They are depending on us!”
As soon as it became necessary, Chabad of Moldova was there, ready to help. Refugee sites went up, places to sleep arranged and supplies ordered. As always, Chabad is a home for any Jew, whenever and wherever needed.
Let’s continue to be the beacon of light for them. Be their hope. Be their hero. Make a difference for people who are going through so much. Supporting even just one person even in a small way has an effect way beyond what we can imagine.
In these dark moments, we have the ability, the power and the responsibility to do all that we can to bring as much light as possible to these refugees.
As we approach Parshas Pekudei, we are launching a project to sponsor a family, and give them the hope and light that they so desperately need in this time. Be there for them. Be their hero.
As we sit in the comfort of our homes, knowing where we will be for Shabbos and that we have a bed to sleep in, we can be there for them. And we must. This is our moment.
Partner with us to continue to bring light to so many, in the form of warm meals, beds, clothing, support and love. You can make a real difference to our brothers and sisters escaping Ukraine.
