Hundreds of Chabad families in Rockland County, NY have been excited to get involved in Mitzvah Matzah this year.
Based off last year’s success of Mivtzah Matzah, when Or Vechom provided subsidized Matzah for Mivtzoim, local residents Adam Goodfriend and Rabbi Levi Tiechtel along with other local yungeleit got together to raise funds to purchase Matzah, with the goal to provide fellow Lubavitchers the opportunity to distribute matzah and be part of Pesach Mivtzoim.
Together they purchased over 400 lbs of Matzah, which are nicely boxed by volunteers and provided for free or for a donation price to local anash families so they can take part in Pesach Mivtzoim.
The project is based on the success of last Pesach, and then other community Mivtzoim projects on Sukkos, Chanukah and Purim.
Families have been getting involved, with adults and children giving Matzah to their neighbors, with the kids receiving prizes for their efforts.
“So many Lubavitch families want to do more for Pesach than to just clean their homes, they really want to be part of something greater. Our Matzah campaign has seen unprecedented success, with so many getting involved and sharing the Mitzvos and joy of the Pesach holiday with their fellow Jews,” said Rabbi Tiechtel.
The project is in the merit of a Refuah Shelaima for R’ Yosef Yitzchok ben Sima Chasya.
Very impressive
