As Gimmel Tammuz nears, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim has launched the seventh annual Mivtza Hanachos, a powerful initiative aimed at deepening bochurim’s connection to the Rebbe through engaging in the Farbrengens.
The program guides participants to watch weekly video Farbrengens of the Rebbe and summarize the Sichos in their own words — a practice that sharpens understanding and builds a personal bond with the Rebbe’s Torah. Starting with shorter clips and advancing to full-length Farbrengens, the structure allows bochurim to steadily grow in their learning and develop the skills needed to learn from the Rebbe directly.
This year marks a record high, with over 18 Mesivtas worldwide participating and an estimated 1400 bochurim joining. The broad response, from small Mesivtas to major Yeshivos, reflects a growing excitement to connect deeply with the Rebbe’s words.
“Over the past six years, hundreds of bochurim have discovered a newfound appreciation for the Rebbe’s Farbrengens, often remarking how the Mivtza helped them overcome previous challenges in understanding the sichos,” said Vaad Program Director Rabbi Meir Deren.
To motivate and reward participants, Mivtza Hanachos offers generous prizes. Bochurim who complete all hanachos receive between $50 and $100 to Kehos, and the top three writers are awarded a full set of Toras Menachem.
The program is a joint effort of Vaad Hatmimim and JEM, under the leadership of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Altein and supported by Talmidim Hashluchim in each Yeshiva. Its success continues to grow thanks to their dedication and the passion of the bochurim.
Now entering its seventh year, Mivtza Hanachos remains a powerful tool in strengthening bochurim’s hiskashrus to the Rebbe and securing the future of Chassidus.
