Dovi I’ve never met you or heard you before this video. Sick or not you have that element in your voice that makes people melt inside. I only hope to hear more of you in the future. Being that we are in the middle of Pesach, (sefira) may I suggest to post yossele’s ribono shel olam (sfira)
Ty for that song it warmed me up

Ty for commenting. However you are mistaken. The tune was composed by R’ Chaim Banet and the Yiddish words were later added by Yonasan Shwartz. Abish Brodt made it famous by singing it multiple times, however the credit goes to the above mentioned …

April 9, 2012 11:19 pm
Besides his amazing voice and real nice song he sang, he made a kiddush lubavitch, by getting up there in his hat and jacket looking like a chosid! Dovi we’re proud of you!

April 9, 2012 1:58 pm
I do not know how old the Yiddish lyrics are, but the music was composed by R’ Chaim Banet of Vizhnitz-Haifa sometime in the mems if not earlier.

SILENCE!!!
April 9, 2012 11:22 am
I was @ the concert. when he got up to sing the room (2500 ppl) was in total silence. You can hear a pin drop. The crowd was mesmerized. I don`t know if i would pick him as a STAR / ENTERTAINER, but he`s got the voice like no other.
Stage presence.
April 9, 2012 11:19 am
What can I say… besides for the fantastic choice of song for that day (TOULOUSE KEDOSHIM) and his dedication to that little girl that needs a Refuah Shleima… he`s the only one that stood in one place and yet had STAGE PRESENCE
California wedding.
April 9, 2012 11:14 am
Dovi I was at a wedding in LA not too long ago where you sang under the Chuppah. The mic was broken and everyone was wondering what was going to be. you got up there and belted out a Baruch Haba louder and nicer than anyone could sing. I was in total awe. Do you have a Shtelle in a Shul?
From a musician
April 9, 2012 11:09 am

April 9, 2012 10:59 am
I`m a guest in CH for Pesach and I went to Beis Shmuel for davening. Dovi davened Shacharis the 1st day and Mussaf the 2nd. I was truly impressed with his vocal abilities. True the low part of the video was a little rough but the high part was great. It`s not always about running around on stage. Dovi made me cry with this song and Shabbos in Shul i was truly inspired. TY Dovi
i didnt know?
April 9, 2012 10:53 am
he’s from crown heights??!?!?!?! which shul does he go to?????
EMT
April 9, 2012 10:45 am
i was @ the concert with Dovi helping him out with his flu. he had 101 fever and bronchitis. he was in pain and yet went up there contrary to some professional advice. i1m truly impressed that he stood up there in that much agony. besides, sick or not he still got the best voice!!
Dovi Minkowicz - to # 2

The lyrics were cut short because of the 3 minute limit. The entire song is so powerful and hartzig. The Yiddish words were written by badchen Yonason Shwartz. He is a emesdike chosid, although not publicly a Lubavither. When I went to his toy store on 18th ave. in Boro Park to ask him permission to sing the song, he gave me a copy of his original rendition. In the meantime here`s a link you can watch on youtube.
