On Monday afternoon, a middle-aged man accompanied by security guards walked into the Chabad House in Gedera, a town in the Center District of Israel.
The person’s name was Moshe Kahlon, Minister of Communications and Minister of Welfare & Social Services, and the purpose of his visit was that of dipping in the mikvah.
“He was on the way to attend a bris for a top activist in the Likud party nearby, and since he was going to be honored as sandek, he wanted to go to the mikvah first,” Chabad activist Zalman Wolff told COLlive.
Wolf put the Minister in touch with his brother in law Rabbi Binyomin Karniel, the Shliach of Gedera, located near the Chatzar Hamalka hall where the bris was going to take place.
After dipping in the well-kept mikvah, the Minister and his staff were helped with putting on Tefillin and saying a short prayer.
