To my dear Crown Heights community,
Hi! We are Rochie and Itchel Junik, Bonei Olam Crown Heights Coordinators, and I am turning to you today, to help answer the call of desperate couples experiencing infertility.
Not too long ago, we were one of those couples. Bonei Olam was there for us during our time of pain, and today we are asking you to help so many others in need.
These are not nameless strangers we are asking you to help… they are the people you meet on Kingston Avenue, the couple who lives right next door or across the hall. We are asking on their behalf so they don’t have to ask themselves.
We are raising money to help our friends, our sisters, our cousins, and neighbors. Their fierce determination to be parents inspires us all to do what we can to make their dream a reality.
How can we stand by in the face of such suffering?!
So many of them have endured grueling medical evaluations and multiple procedures. And then, right in the middle of the complex and delicate process, Covid-19 put a stop to everything!
When clinics closed and doctors’ offices were shuttered, all their progress was lost.
Now we are begging you to help these hopeful couples to begin again. They bring their courage, we must support them with the necessary funds.
Over the last few days, many of you have gotten links from family member’s “teams” for our Charidy campaign. Each team has adopted a couple to raise money for. We have changed names for privacy purposes, but each couple is real, each diagnosis is real, and each price tag is real!
Please, give what you can. Your donation is a life that we can bring into this world.
