A Shloshim memorial marking 30 days since the passing of Rabbi Mendy Deren, OBM will be held on the fourth night of Chanukah, Motzei Shabbos, 28 Kislev – December 4.
The memorial will be held at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Stamford, CT, and will include a Siyum Mishnayos by Mendy’s father, Rabbi Yisrael Deren.
Scheduled to speak are Senator Joseph Lieberman, a close friend of the Deren family, and Rabbi Avraham Sternberg, Shliach in Eastern Connecticut.
New programs in Mendy’s merit will be launched during the evening as well.

i’ll never forget that mendy drove 5 hours to my wedding, danced with me for the first dance, went to sleep in the car, so that he can drive and be back in ….. by the morning. a true friend.
