A young man who attended one of the most intensive Smicha Programs in the Lubavitch world today spoke at Chabad of Melbourne CBD.
Rabbi David Trachtman, who attended the Smicha Program Machon Shneiur Chaim in Melbourne, went on to study at the William Angliss College of Hospitality and Cuisine in Melbourne. Today he runs his own catering firm, Passionate Catering, and gives talks throughout the community on 14 different subjects combining spirituality and gastronomy.
Trachtman was introduced by Shliach Rabbi Chaim Herzog, and then gave a thought-provoking lecture on the topic of “Spiritual Gastronomy, Or how I found G-d behind my oven.”
The group of businesspeople in attendance then enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Passionate Catering. The lunch was followed by Mincha.
