This past Thursday the Yeshivah Gedolah of Melbourne Shluchim completed a very successful year of Mishmor.
Every Thursday night from 7:30 to 8:30, boys from years 4 through 7 come to learn with the Shluchim in the YG zal. The boys are very excited as it is one of the highlights of their week.
Every few boys learn with another Shliach, the first half hour they learn something on the Parsha or about different special days of the upcoming week, and then they discuss new missions for the week in a program run by Menachem Lipskier, Tzivos Hashem’s program director of Chabad Youth.
Following the learning, the boys either play a very exciting game or hear a story. Questions are asked about the Parsha, a video of the Rebbe is shown, and every week Mishmor ends off with a raffle. On special occasions there are farbrengans.
Being that some of the Yeshivah Gedolah Shluchim’s two year Shlichus is coming to an end, the boys said good bye to their dear Shluchim for the last Mishmor of 5771.
The boys were rewarded with a very special juggling show by their very own Shluchim Nochum Greenwald and Shmuely Lipskier. The boys had a great time, and are already waiting to start “Mishmor with the Shluchim 5772”.
Go Mishmor 5771!! I loved it!
You sure are infusing the bochurimlach with excitement for Torah and all good things. This has a Peuloh Nimsheches {Poiel-Peuloh-Nif’al…vak’m}, see you all be’h in 770!
I don’t know who started it, but Paltiel, Weisbord, and Pinchover (“just” local Bochurim) sure made it happen……. [it was just yester…….day]
