As communities around the world marked the holy day of Gimmel Tammuz, the Lubavitch community in Melbourne gathered in unity and inspiration.
Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky, Executive Director of Machne Israel, the social services arm of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch Movement, visited as the guest speaker at various Chabad gatherings throughout the weekend.
Rabbi Krinsky spoke to students at Yeshiva College and Beth Rivkah, sharing insights from his upbringing as the son of Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, the Rebbe’s mazkir and current Chairman of both Machne Israel and Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch. On Saturday night, Rabbi Krinsky spent time with the bochurim at Yeshiva Gedola, deepening their connection to the Rebbe.
The visit culminated with a keynote address on Sunday evening, where Rabbi Krinsky reflected on the significance of Gimmel Tammuz and emphasized the importance of continuing the Rebbe’s work worldwide.
His powerful and personal message resonated with the community, reinforcing the need for each individual to contribute to the Rebbe’s vision of spreading Torah and Yiddishkeit to every corner of the globe.
