Fathers and sons from grades 7-12 of the Melbourne community celebrated Yud Tes Kislev with a beautiful program on Sunday morning, in Yeshivah Centre. 40 fathers and 80 students attended.
It began with a father and son chassidus learning and refreshments, followed by davening.
After davening there was a lavish meal with guest speaker Rabbi Leor Broh.
In attendance were prominent community rabbis and leaders along with many other laymen.
A beautiful program followed, which included a video presentation and live musical accompaniment for the Daled Bavos and other niggunim and some dancing.
On each table there was also a special edition of the “You Be The Genius” campaign, which was a paper with five questions on Yud Tes Kislev that the students filled out and handed in to be entered into a raffle with ten winners.
The Seuda was followed by another session of learning a sicha about Yud Tes Kislev.
The program was arranged, coordinated, and fundraised for by the shluchim to Yeshivah Centre – Benny Greenwald, Moishe Gurevitz, Shloimy Rabin, Meir Simon and Asher Sossonko.
