“Meat,” the trendy kosher restaurant which opened in Crown Heights in 2019, has introduced a new “Meatless” Menu for the Nine Days when meat isn’t consumed.
With the popular restaurant now fully re-opened after Covid restrictions, Executive Chef Reem Look is adapting to the period of mourning over the destruction of the Beis Hamikdash from Rosh Chodesh until the 9th of Av.
Chef Look has created a specially curated menu of their superbly fine dining which includes only fish and pareve dishes.
The menu features an array of appetizers such as bread with house-made tomato spread, marinated olives, cream of garlic, house mustard, and pickled vegetables, and salads like a tomato salad with fresh oregano and soft boiled egg, and green salad with Belgian endive, radish, and citrus vinaigrette.
The menu also includes hot appetizers like cabbage rolls with rice and sour herbal stew, pappardelle with fresh market fish and Provençale tomato Sauce, and pan-seared tuna with fennel dust and tabouli.
Main course dishes include pan-seared Chilean sea bass with artichoke barigoule and cauliflower purée and a fish and chips with tempura battered market fish accompanied by a fennel horseradish aioli and artichoke shavings.
The team at MEAT is excited to present this exclusive pareve menu. “Our meatless menu maintains the highest standard of fine dining – only without the meat,” owner Danny Branover says.

The final photo indicates a piece of salmon perfectly balanced on the rim of a bowl. How are you supposed to eat it?
It’s bread on the bowl
