Over 250 people packed into the Mayanot Institute of Studies in Jerusalem for a grand farbrengen in honor of Yud Tes Kislev.
Rabbi Yossi Chazan of Manchester farbrenged, and shared many deeply moving stories, anecdotes and ideas. The Farbrengen continued into the morning.
The Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Y. N. Wichnin announced the launch of a new Tanya Baal Peh project, whereby students who study certain amounts of Tanya by heart will receive the ‘Map’ of the Tanya, created and written by Rabbi Shais Taub and published by Kehos.
For the upcoming day of Hey Teves Rabbi Taub will be giving a workshop on the ‘Tanya Map’ at Mayanot men’s program, and will present the Maps to the students who participate in the Tanya project.
Rabbi Taub will also be lecturing at the Mayanot Women’s program, where he will deliver a presentation on why women are more aware of G-d than men, entitled “Feminine Faith.”
“Feminine Faith,” the newest release from the Chasidic Heritage Series, is based on the discourse of the Rebbe Maharash – L’hovin Inyon shel Rosh Chodesh (Understanding the Concept of the [Celebration] of the New Moon) 5640 (1880). It has been recently translated and annotated by Rabbi Taub and will be released in honor of Hei Teves.
Very special thanks to Rabbi Mendel Laine and Kehos who have partnered with Mayanot for both projects and will be giving out the Maamarim and Maps to each of the successful students at the Men’s and Women’s programs.
